Direct Photo of My HGUC Revival RX-78-2 Gundam Gunpla Model Kit

As I said yesterday, I was going to take a picture of my RX-78 Gunpla models to celebrate my 5th anniversary of building them, which took place in the summer of 2019. Every time I see these two together, I can’t help but smile really hard. When I remember that memory, I realized how historical and important that moment was for me. During the year 2019, my hype fever with Gundam was riding high. When I had freer time, I remember I would binge watch the living heck out of Gundam. From the epic UC timeline, to the awesome AU timeline, and getting awed and wowed by back to back Gundam installments. The ironic part was, I truly got into it on the 40th anniversary of the franchise. Honestly, it felt like as if I was reliving the year 1979. It just felt SO symbolic… That’s why being able to build my Gunpla model was like an awesome icing on the cake. I yearn for times like those again, and I hope I can do it again this year with its 45th anniversary, and, my 5th anniversary. Why does this matter so much to me? Simply put, it was historic because it wasn’t just the first time I built my own Gunpla models, but it started a gateway of entering the world of Gunpla. A gigantic worldwide hobby that’s adored in all of Japan, and parts of the world. Realizing this, it makes me glad to be part of the big world of building Gunpla. Not only that, but ever since starting with my first Gunpla model kits, over in time, I began to build other Gunpla model kits, such as my EX-Standard Exia, Quanta RG, and my HGUC Guntank. The best part is, there is still a lot more to go, and it excites me to continue this epic world of building Gunpla.

I now present you an improved POV photo shoot of my RX-78 Gunpla models. Both BB Senshi SD, and HGUC Revival RX-78-2 models.

5 Years of My First Two Gunpla Models: 5th Anniversary Celebration (2019-2024)

It’s been 5 years since I built my first Gunpla models. Although I completed my RX-78 HGUC model in 2021, I purchased the model in 2019, and was building it until building issues happened, and thus had to be delayed until 2021. Aside from that, the SD was built and completed in 2019, and goodness me… It’s hard to believe that five years have passed… In fact, remembering that beautiful memory, still feels like it only happened yesterday, and hard to believe that time has passed by so quickly… These two models here, the BB Senshi SD RX-78 Gundam and the HGUC Revival RX-78 Gundam, were my first two models that I finished building in 2019, and 2021. Even though they are flawed by build and a lot of mistakes were made during the build, I don’t regret it one bit because these mistakes symbolize how I have come such a long way with building Gunpla. It pleases me to see, that even after 5 years, these adorable Gunpla models are still with me. I sincerely hope to collect more Gunpla models in the future and improve my skill more and more in time. Tomorrow, I’m going to show off these two models in a more detailed photo shoot.

My New Pokémon TCG Scarlet & Violet: Twilight Masquerade Booster Pack: Dragapult Cover

Here is another update to my Toys & Games collection. However, it’s not really a full update of my collection, but rather more, I got a Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Twilight Masquerade booster pack as a gift from my beloved loved one. I am so glad to see that my Pokémon TCG continues to grow, and I hope that by then, my new collection will have already overtaken that of my old collection in the 2000s. I look forward to playing the cards in this new booster pack, and eventually completing the whole set as soon as possible.

The photo shoot looks really nice, and it’s probably one of the best ones I took. I hope to take more photos with new TCG sets coming soon!

My Otaku Merchandise Collection As of 7/16/2024 + Funko Pops

For some odd reason, I completely forgot to show off some of my otaku merch that I have. As you can see, this is a collection, that even though it’s not the biggest, is still a huge collection nonetheless. It’s a collection in the making for over eight years, and as time goes by, I hope to continue collecting more otaku merch that makes me smile, and make my otaku wonderland appeal even better. I won’t lie that when I see these otaku goodies of mine, I can’t help but a happy, and yet, sad nostalgic feeling of the past. Simply because these otaku goodies in front of my eyes symbolize a time when my life was a lot freer, simple, and less intense and chaotic compared to today. Of course, that doesn’t mean things have gotten worse, in fact, the contrary, this otaku vibing has been the best ever for me, and the best is still yet to come. Simply put, things were just simpler, and like the saying goes in life, “the beginning, is usually the most fondly remembered”. A lot of these collected otaku goodies, mean a lot to me, and some of them were given to me by my loving family. I hope to collect some more in the future. The Funko Pops, Tobi Mask, and Travel Mugs are my favorite.

So far, I do like the photo shoot that I took. The angle, quality, and placement are on point, and my merch looks great in this picture.
