Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans – ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos Lupus – HGI-BO (#021) – 1/144 (Bandai) Review

Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans is one of the most beloved Gundam installments of the 21st century. In fact, IBO became the first Gundam to win Animage Grand Prix since Gundam Seed Destiny back in 2005 and as well as the first to compete in the competition since Gundam 00 back in 2009. IBO is beloved by both old and new, IBO is often viewed by many, including myself, to be the true last AU Gundam installment that dealt with themes that make Gundam popular in the first place. With all respect to Mercury and GQuuuuuuX, but Iron Blooded Orphans truly felt like the last Gundam to deal with heavy political themes that involved war, suffering, and ideologies. I truly wish Sunrise and Bandai would return to those days. Anyway, back to the topic.

There’s no doubt that Barbatos is one of the coolest looking Gundam’s ever in franchise history. From slick melee attacks, to a nice slick design that makes it stand out as some slick edgy mobile suit, to some very cool looking weapons like the sword it has by its side. Not only that, but, this Gundam enjoys massive spotlight and always takes a pivotal role for important scenes in the anime. This high grade model version, released by Bandai a decade ago in 2015, has aged like fine wine. With a smooth and a fun easy process of building it, and good detail with nice coloring, it makes you wonder if this model kit is one of the greatest in Gunpla history? The truth is, yes it is, and you are probably thinking? What? Are you serious? How is this true? Well, let’s find out!

Naruto – Hyuuga Hinata (Burger King) Review

Note: This review applies to all Naruto toys from Burger King

If you have been keeping up with my stories for over a month, chances are, you must have heard of my story where I attempted to buy the Naruto toys from Burger King. Unfortunately, they did not have any. Worst part was, their response was rather unprofessional and unwelcoming. Sadly, I came to the belief that I wouldn’t get my hands on a single toy from Burger King with the Naruto toys at all…

That was, until today, when I finally got a toy at long last. After a month, I was finally able to get my hands on one of the Naruto toys from Burger King. The only downside is, it’s not Sasuke Uchiha (yes, I’m a Sasuke fanboy). Of course, that doesn’t matter because regardless of the character, I’m happy to own these toys. Hopefully, when there’s a chance, I’d like to complete the whole collection. Now, who are we reviewing today? None other than Hinata Hyuga. Known for her crush for Naruto, and eventual future wife, later on in the series.

Bill 156: The Hilarious Story of Japan’s Infamous Anime and Manga Censorship of 2010-2011

In 2010, the anime industry was going through a turbulent period. After three years of consecutive decline in industry profits due to the effects of the great recession, 2010 was the first year since 2006 that the industry enjoyed an increase in profit. However, seasonal anime on television dramatically declined compared to four years ago. In 2006, there were 100-120 seasonal anime airing during that year. By 2010, that number had declined to 80-100. In spite of that, 2010 is remembered as being a phenomenal year for anime. The year saw the release of hits like Angel Beats, Durarara, Maid Sama, The Tatami Galaxy, Bakuman, Panty & Stocking, and a lot more. In other words, even though the industry only began to slump, that didn’t stop it from releasing hit anime.

But, like all things in entertainment, the industry was about to be rocked by a controversy so unexpected and bizarre, that it caused a massive extensive media meltdown not only in the anime and manga industry, but Japanese media. So what happened exactly? By you looking at the cover, you probably know what this topic is about, and you probably already know what must have happened, right? Well, either way… Get to hear the most bizarre and hilarious anime and manga censorship controversy that happened directly in Japan.
