Pokémon – Snorlax – Jazwares x Pokémon – Pokémon 18″ Sleeping Plush (Jazwares) Review

Many people like to say that Fumos from Touhou are the most popular kind of plushies for otaku, and while that is true, we can’t deny that, arguably, the most popular plushies collected by otakus are none other than Pokémon plushies. Pokémon plushies aren’t just beloved. They are worldwide phenomoms that have become a collector favorite not just among otakus, but for everyone. As someone who has a good amount of Pokémon plushies, including numbers, experience, and memories, I enjoy collecting them, and I am well familiar with the feeling of collecting so many. The thing is, however, I haven’t really been collecting plushies lately as I’ve been working on collecting other type of franchise based merchandise like figures and model kits for example. The last time, up until this year, I bought plushies was back in fall of 2018. Now, nearly seven years later, plush collecting has returned, and, once again, its Pokémon. What a better way to return then to start with our favorite video game juggernaut, eh? First, it was the sleeping Pikachu. Now, its Snorlax.

Here we have our beloved fat adorable Pokémon who is known to sleep and eat only. Snorlax, also known as Kabigon in Japanese, is a massive and beloved fan favorite among many Pokémon fans. Snorlax is also one of the most well known Pokémon ever in franchise history. Cute, fat, adorable, big, lazy, you name it. Snorlax has a strong following, and tons of merchandise have featured a Snorlax. This plush here from Jazwares is a prime example. This plush, for me, isn’t just an amazing plush… It’s a plush for the ages… Well sized, soft, big, and good texture… In fact, I am so darn in love with this plush, that, have to ask myself? Is this the best plush ever…? Let’s find out?

United States V Handley: The Controversial Legal Case Involving Anime and Manga

Disclaimer: I have no interest in Lolicon/Shotacon. I am 100% against all cases of abuse and exploitation against children, both physically and material wise, and I fully support and advocate for their protection and safety.

NOTE: Common words based on the topic of this article will use alternative words to avoid controversy or unfair cuts due to issues and incidents with companies.

It was the year 2006. During that year, anime airing on American television stations, most notably, Toonami/Adult Swim, were rocking the country. Anime hits like Naruto, Bleach, and other anime were taking the American otaku world by storm. Anime con attendances were rising, distributions were increasing, and popularity of anime and manga as a whole, thanks to the rise of fan subs on the internet, and the numbers were significantly rising in numbers. In other words, it was a turning point for American history of anime and manga. Meanwhile in Japan, often regarded by many (including myself) as the greatest year in anime history, saw the airings of a great amount of legendary anime during that year. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Death Note, and Code Geass. All aired on that same year, and to this day, are still beloved among both the otaku, and the mainstream viewer. As of today, such legends are still talked about as if they were brand new. Also, my favorite anime of all time, Kanon, aired on that year, and is still my favorite even after 14 years when I first watched it back in 2011.

But would you believe me if I were to tell you on that same year, a legal case was about to commence in 2006 that would not only rock much entertainment based communities, like comics, cartoons, movies, TV shows, and, yes, anime and manga as a whole, but an entire legal system here in America? In May 2006, a case known as United States v. Handley was about to occur that would become a cautionary tale for otakus, anime and manga fans, and fans of fiction like comic books, and cartoons in general.

GN-001REII Gundam Exia Repair II – RG – 1/144 (Bandai) Review

Not sure if tweaking it or leaving it alone was the right choice. Eh, it looks iffy.

Censorship has been the hot talk lately. In fact, the topic has been so big that it’s been stressing me out… I will talk about it soon as possible, but for now, I want to focus on another awesome topic for my fellow otakus. Shortly after building Char’s HGUC Zaku Commander, I’ve now finished building another gunpla, and that’s the GN-001REII Gundam Exia Repair II – RG – 1/144 from Bandai. If you remember my highlights on Instagram, you will remember seeing 5 new boxes of Gunpla that I bought on that day. This Exia Repair was one of them. Like the other four, this one was a random buy. One that was worth it. With its slick design, relatively easy build and less stacked pieces, I can safely say that the process of building it was smooth. The question is, is the reception good? Is it worth buying it? Was it worth the process? We are about to find out in this review.
