Day of Two Anniversaries: Animangemu’s Launch and Animangemu’s First Article (2022-2024) & (2023-2024)

Ladies and gentlemen, today is an important day for Animangemu. Because exactly on this day, two years ago, and a year ago, something happened that was significant for Animangemu, and those two anniversaries, are pretty much what helped Animangemu being kicked into full gear. The second anniversary was when I launched Animangemu as a website, and believe me, how it looked two years ago looks nothing like the Animangemu that you see today. In fact, when I launched Animangemu in 2022, its logo looked completely different, and this is how it looked.

I have come a long way since reinventing Animangemu’s logo, and at the time when I launched my website, I solely focused on anime, manga, and video games. That’s why if you see a lot of leftovers AMG letters, that’s because I was intending on making Animangemu solely focusing on those three. Of course, as time goes on, I became more educated, more knowledgeable, and developed new passions that were a part of the hemisphere, such as Tokusatsu, electronics, and airsoft. Eventually, other mediums from toys & games, live action, and books that involved the otaku culture, became a part of Animangemu. Finally, the otaku culture, the biggest definer of my brand, was added as a lot of interests of the otaku culture reside in this hemisphere. Looking back, It feels nice to see how much things have changed, and it will only get better.

This you see right here was my first article published on Animangemu, (excluding the previous articles before 2023). If you click on the picture, it will direct you to my first article. Looking back, Animangemu’s early goal was to be the best news source and provider for all things otaku, but, eventually, one of the plans was to expand my brand, and become holder of all narrative of everything otaku. News feeds still exist, but now only as an opinion source rather than a general article, and I did that experiment with the controversial Assassination Classroom ban by a Florida and Wisconsin school, and it was a HUGE success. Everyone became interested in it, and my view count just spiked like crazy. Eventually, I can’t wait to make my own self-published opinion articles on many topics that revolve around the otaku hemisphere. Looking back at this, I can feel like I have come a long way since I first started, and I feel pretty emotional knowing that this was a work of mine that is still running after a year and more. I thank God for this beautiful blessing, and I can’t wait to start more in the future. Don’t worry my fellow otakus, more greatness awaits soon God Willing.

Thank you for reading this article, and going down the memory lane with me. Stay tuned for more!

My Recent Anime DVD/Blu-ray + VHS Collection As of 11/14/2024

My fellow otakus. Sadly, this is the most recent anime DVD/Blu-ray collection that I have. Despite the fact that I have been doing this for eight years. Do you want to know why? Because, unlike manga books which are easy to collect in large chunks thanks to their price and being in stores in nearly every retailer, anime DVDs are rarely anywhere in retail stores. Unless it’s the big ones and retailers that are specifically catered to entertainment, which you are BOUND to see anime DVDs. Even with the anime being available, the prices for most anime DVDs and Blu-rays, are priced ridiculously expensive, and most of the new anime being released, both old and new, are expensive as heck. Also, since I watch most of my anime online through streams like Crunchyroll, that’s another of the reasons why my Anime DVD/Blu-ray collection is low when compared to manga and video games. Nether the less, I do plan to buy more anime DVDs/Blu-rays in the future, and I sincerely hope that I buy a new chunk load of anime DVDs/Blu-rays that are brand new and never watched just yet. Both new, and old school. Yes, that even means VHS copies and whatever there is. It’s nice to have the full collection, with box sets, rare collections, the latest, and most beautiful looking Blu-ray, some old anime DVD set from the 2000s, and just a lot of more. Overall, I truly can’t wait to start the collection.

My favorite is no doubly, Death Note, Yu Yu Hakusho, Dragon Ball Z, Ghibli films, Gkids movies, and my first ever Pokémon VHS copy.

My Manga + Light Novels, Novels, One-Shot and Book Collection As of 1/14/2024

Ladies and gentlemen, may I present you the largest collection that I own from my otaku hemisphere, and possibly, the largest collection of passion that I have ever owned in my life. The amount of manga + all other book forms that revolve around my passion, has been in a collection constant since 2016. It’s hard to believe that it has been eight years since when I first started collecting manga. Time has gone on, and a lot has changed for me and the industry itself. The sensation and feeling of excitement and happiness, was something that I haven’t felt in ages when I started collecting my first bunch. Who would have ever thought on that day, a simple purchase as a gift from my family two manga books given to me, officially started an empire of reading, collecting, and getting the best out of Japanese comics. As time went on, my section of manga began to evolve. More collecting of specific manga series, box sets, one-shots, light novels and novels entering, reading manhwa and manhua, and establishing another section of entertainment, which are books based on my passions. For me, every time I see my manga collection, I can’t help but smile, knowing that I have come such a LONG way over the past eight years. Of course, I still want to be collecting more and more, and reading all of them. Soon, I will make reviews on manga books, and all sorts of other books. Which ones are my favorite.

My Recent collection of Anime figurine Boxes + Gunpla Boxes

One of the things that I have always done being an otaku is to never throw away my boxes of anime figurines + Gunpla boxes as well. For me, anime boxes aren’t just boxes that store your figurines inside for practical use and safety, but they also exist to make your room or any place stand out with strong otaku aesthetic. The way how the boxes are designed and colored, is just vastly unique compared to other figurine boxes. If we want to talk about practical use, then the boxes serve as use for keeping figurines safe when needing to move somewhere else. Just seeing the boxes pilled up all together and being place in a room full of otaku merch everywhere, gives the room, boxes, and every other piece of merch, brought to life. It not only symbolizes what your room is, but it also displays the amount of anime figurines that you currently own. Overall, in my opinion, boxes of anime figures are a lovely collection to keep, and shouldn’t be thrown away. They are nicely designed, extremely useful for transportation, and hold an important meaning for rooms with otaku design. Soon, I will be making an article on the art of anime figurine boxes.

Also, if you guessed it, my favorite box is the Konomi Yuzuhara box from To Heart 2 that was released back in 2005. Her box, and her figure, are overall just well-designed for something that was 19 years ago. Soon, I will be making an article about her figurine, and my story with encounter her back at the Ocala Comicon as well. Stay tuned!

A Message From Animangemu: 2023 in Review And a Happy New Year 2024

First, I would like to say a happy new year from me here at Animangemu. Firstly, I want to let you all know that this year was truly a year of many changes in my life, and it was tremendous. For me, 2023 was a year when many passions of the old have returned to life, and new ones entered. Where new expansions for my passions were created, and when an identity of being otaku was fully established. This was a year of many firsts for me. Doing research on the otaku culture that core relates to anime and manga, where I displayed amazing video game videos and live streams. Where I showed off incredible collections of toys & games like Pokémon cards, Yu-Gi-Oh cards, Bakugan, and Magic The Gathering. Many unbelievable live action figures from tokusatsu like Kamen Rider were displayed, and plenty of otaku USA magazines and game informer and plenty of more books to read and show off. A bunch of otaku merch such as Gunpla models, figurines, collectibles, and so much more. News feeds, a ranking of otaku popularity by state through the use of journalistic research. Stunning photography of all the goodies taken, cool video editing and design improvements, visiting my first ever Comicon and cosplaying, and, the enjoyable amount of time I spent with my what I love. I can safely say that 2023 has been one of the most revolutionary years of my life, and probably the most revolutionary year ever, in terms of my otaku passion, surpassing even previous years like 2011, 2016, and 2019. You know, only a few years ago, I would have never imagined seeing my brand come to life. All of this idea building that was stuck in my head, finally turned real, and I give all the Glory and Honor to Almighty God. I truly look forward to 2024, and unlike 2023, 2024 will definitely be more consistent, and I will be upgrading and expanding my content for the follow year. Everyone, I would like to say thank you to all of you for enjoying my content, and stay tuned for more in the future. See ya later again on January 22!
