My fellow otakus, after patiently waiting for the announcement, I am proud to announce that I will officially be attending Metrocon 2026! First off, you don’t know how excited and hyped I am! I’ve been waiting to announce this for a while now, and with the great momentum that Sarasota Anime-Fest and Brick City Anime Festival left behind, there is no doubt that the hype will continue this year with Metrocon’s announcement.
First opened in 2003, Metrocon has become Florida’s largest anime convention in the Sunshine State. Metrocon is one of the most well-known anime conventions in Florida and across America. It enjoys a huge attendance, and just knowing that I’ll be one of them in the history books makes the feeling even greater.
I sincerely look forward to the programming, shopping, and guests that Metrocon has in store for me. Many Floridian otakus say Metrocon is an amazing anime convention, with some calling it the state’s best. Although it’s too early for me to judge since I have yet to attend, there is no doubt that I feel an unprecedented level of hype. Panels, cosplay contests, merchandise galore, amazing guests, and all sorts of incredible things await at Metrocon! Oh, and the best part—no hotel required at all since I’m a fellow Tampa local!
I look forward to attending, and I cannot wait to see my fellow mutuals whom I befriended at previous anime conventions. See you there!
