Fire Emblem Engage Gets a Manga Adaptation

Fire Emblem fans, I have lovely news for you! Nintendo announced on Friday that its newest release, Fire Emblem Engage, will get a manga adaptation. Kazur Ky (Himedol!!) will be the artist for the upcoming manga.

The manga will serialize in both Shueisha’s Saikyo Jump magazine and on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump + website and app as a monthly serialization. A prologue will be published for the manga in the March issue of Saikyo Jump on February 3. Serialization will fully commence on March 3 and will debut on Shonen Jump + on the same day. An English release has yet to be announced.

Fire Emblem Engage is Nintendo and Intelligent Systems latest installment for the franchise. It was released on January 20, 2023. The Fire Emblem franchise has had previous manga adaptations based on the Fire Emblem games of the past, such as the original Famicom Fire Emblem and the Super Famicom Fire Emblem titles from the 1990s. Prior to 2017, the last Fire Emblem title to get a dedicated manga adaptation was the alternative story telling of the 2002 Game Boy Advance title Fire Emblem Fuuin no Tsurugi Manga called Fire Emblem Hasha no Tsurugi, which was released in 2001. Recently, the newest Fire Emblem manga adaptations were released in 2017.
