My fellow otakus. For two years, my Konomi Yuzuhara figure from Kotobukiya that was made in 2005 remained my number 1 figure. Even though, like most things, favorites don’t last forever being number one. As predicted, eventually, my Konomi figure was eventually to be dethroned by another figure. Now, at long last, the time has officially come. After more than two years of enjoying the title as “best figure” of my collection, she’s no longer number 1. Now, we have a new queen in town.

Haruka Amami, the cute idol girl from The Idolmaster Series. She has now taken the throne as the new number 1 figure of my collection. All credit goes to the brilliance of Banpresto. Their amazing efforts have created a figure so extraordinary. Anyone owning this figure will stare at her with massive awe. The best part is, this figure is priced for peanuts. This figure will only cost you around 24–27 bucks in total. For such a cheap figure, she is well-designed.

This Haruka Amami figure was created by Banpresto. It was released in 2016 as a limited edition. The release was based on the SQ Masters of The Idol World 2015 event. This figure is from a relatively older release year. Although considered “limited”, it is a massive grab for those looking for a cheap figure. It rivals figures priced at 100 dollars.

One of the finest qualities that I have noticed about this figure is how well painted the figure is. You can see the color touch being well-designed for Haruka’s outfit. Most notably, the red blends with the white. This contrast makes the outfit look almost like a real-life outfit. Not only that, but if you notice, you can see the color shine with reflection. This is in spite of being a pre-painted figure. The golden colors added to the figure makes it a lot better. You can see how glittering shiny they look, and how it contrasts well with the other colors. The hair color is also painted brilliantly. The hair color is painted exceptionally well. It closely resembles Haruka’s hair from her official design. Her eye color and expression are a major bonus to the high quality figure that makes her stand out. The design of her boots is exceptional. Their coloring and painting make them a real delight to look at. Finally, her pose is absolute perfection. Her happy look, cute waving hand and adorable stand makes this figure more than I ask for.

The assembly was a piece of cake. The head was overwhelmingly easy to put on. Her arm was easy to attach. Nevertheless, it can be tricky if you don’t position it correctly. If it’s not assembled properly, you can still see the assembly piece. This will ruin the perfection of her looking as a natural figure. Attaching her feet to the base is easy too. Still, you need to use more strength to attach her to the base. Otherwise, it will not hold her properly. One criticism I have is that a colorful base would have been better for her. This is because The Idolmaster idols are known for being colorful and magical. A bland white is pretty stale if you ask me.

Overall, I would strongly recommend this figure to anyone who’s starting a collection. Especially if you are a huge fan of The Idolmaster series. Specifically, Haruka Amami. If you like idol figures from an idol anime or manga, this figure is a great choice. It is also ideal if you are looking for a cheap figure to start your collection. It’s also perfect if you simply want to add another to your collection. This figure is a massive bargain because of its cheap pricing. It is especially affordable when compared to other figures, which cost far more than this one does. This Haruka Amami Banpresto Figure from the SQ Masters of The Idol World 2015 is delightful for any otaku. Its charm is undeniable. With its well-painted colors, it is very appealing. The detailed design with a color contrast enhances its beauty. A cute pose with a cute outfit and cute smile gives it official-like looks. This combination is enough to make you want to buy and own the figure. I would recommend anyone buying this figure. It’s so good, that it has now become my favorite figure of all time. Now, keep in mind, it’s only temporary. As time goes, another figure will come and replace it as my number 1. For now, let’s let her enjoy the throne.
