Ever since I’ve fallen in love with The Land of The Rising Sun, Japan has become an important part of my life. Ranging from many great things that the Japanese have invented. Anime, manga, video games, toys & games, tokusatsu, books, otaku culture niches, and other stuff like music, automobiles, inventions, technology, innovations, culture and history, athletes, language, and so much more… So, of course, what else would be on my passionate love affair for Japan? Obviously…

Food… Aka, cuisine. For my entire life, despite spending so much time investing my interests in Japan, I’ve never got to taste authentic Japanese cuisine. In fact, I’ve never even tried out or ever got the chance to eat any Japanese food whatsoever. Even when I had the chance to, such desires never materialized. The void of never trying out Japanese cuisine remained a strong enigma for me, for practically most of my otaku life since I first became one back in 2011…

Finally, that would change at long last when I visited an amazing and awesome restaurant by the name of Samurai Hibachi & Ramen. This Japanese restaurant is located in Ocala, Florida. Oh, and guess what? This restaurant isn’t just some ordinary restaurant, it’s a Japanese restaurant that brings out the authentic Japanese feel. Not only that, but also brings out an otaku feel that even I was not expecting. This restaurant isn’t just “some restaurant”, It’s magical, and for any otaku in Florida, this is a must-visit, and I’ll tell you exactly why in this review.

Introducing my Izuku Midoriya cosplay. It’s not the exact cosplay, but, a mixture of raw cosplay mixed with closet casual cosplay that brings life to a Deku cosplay that mixes both fantasy and casual design that stands out differently from my other cosplay. I look cool, don’t I?

As stated before, Samurai Hibachi & Ramen is a restaurant located in Ocala, Florida. A proud restaurant that sells amazing food. It serves a variety of amazing dishes based on Japanese cuisines. Typically from Japan, you should expect common foods like ramen noodles, bento boxes, bowls, and plenty of other well familiar dishes that are eaten in Japan. The restaurant also has plenty of other options, like appetizers, signatures, sides, and so much that I’ve lost count because of the amount of amazing options the restaurant has to offer. The question you’re probably asking me is, what did I have to eat…? Well… Oh boy… Here’s what I munched on!

Well… I first started munching on these delicious crab Rangoon with cheese and a delicious sweet sauce. It was SO good that I absolutely couldn’t stop remembering the taste.

Then came the apex killer. The delicious Hibachi combo. The combo comes with meat, noodles, rice, and vegetables. I took in the option of adding spring rolls, and salmon. The meal wasn’t just delicious, but had a delicious taste that I honestly couldn’t describe… All I could say is, this meal… It WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! The tasty meat, aligned with the salt and delicious sweet sauce, made this meal too delicious for me. All mixed and aligned SO well… Honestly… If I could eat this everyday, I WOULD NEVER COMPLAIN!!! If you are looking for a killer combo of a delicious meal that is so tasty and fills you up, then I would recommend this one. Also, my favorite part was definitely the meat and noodles. It’s just a perfect combination of delicious food left and right with this Hibachi Combo. This one is truly the best in my opinion.

Not only that, but, one of the oddest things I did while ordering was not ordering myself a Ramune. The thing is, Ramune was always a drink that I wanted to try out, and countless anime favorites like Lamune for instance, revolved around the subject of Ramune. Including the iconic opening when both couples drank Ramune together. I couldn’t believe I missed out on an objective so important. So, I ordered myself a Ramune. A blueberry Ramune, and all I got to say is, it was SO delicious, that I asked myself, “why the heck do I need Soda?” It was SO good… In fact, so good that I wouldn’t mind having more over and over again. I still own the bottle even after I finished drinking it.

Finally, in the end, I had a delicious Mochi. An interesting piece of desert that I’ll admit that I never tried out or even knew about it. It was very tasty, and I enjoyed the mixture of the unique lime flavor mixed with vanilla and whipped cream. It looked cute too! The amazing part is, it was a birthday gift from Samurai Hibachi & Ramen! Thank you!!!

So after I enjoyed doing the chow chow with the delicious food that Samurai Hibachi & Ramen had, I couldn’t hold my excitement of wanting to take a photo next to none other than the iconic Goku from the well known Dragon Ball series. Standing next to him, ironically cosplaying as a character, aka, Midoriya Izuki from My Hero Academia, known as Deku, who shares a lot of values with Goku, and being next to him felt really symbolic. This was a plan that I had myself wanting to do for ages when I first heard about Samurai Hibachi & Ramen and here I am! What a dream come true. Also, I couldn’t help but do a Kamehameha!!!

Not only that, but today was the day I leveled up to level 28. I feel so old!!! Haha! My adorable birthday balloons were by my side, and I am so thankful to Samurai Hibachi & Ramen for allowing me to bring them with me!

I also saw their cool anime and manga figures. They had a lot! From Dragon Ball, to One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, Demon Slayer, you name it! It was truly awesome seeing them in display! It motivates me to get more figures like those and add them to my collection!

There were also other amazing stuff that Samurai Hibachi & Ramen had, and it looked SO cool! I would love to check these out when I have the time to go back again!

After the fun finished, I couldn’t help but look back at Samurai Hibachi & Ramen, and feel a wave of emotion. I was very happy, very satisfied, and amazed at the restaurant. This restaurant gave me an experience like no other. Ranging from delicious food, amazing service, and awesome stuff they have available. I am so proud to have visited an amazing restaurant like this one! Below you will see an awesome picture I took of the restaurant.

Overall, Samurai Hibachi & Ramen isn’t just a restaurant that I came to eat. It was an experience that I’ll never forget. If you are looking for an amazing restaurant with excellent customer service, with delicious Japanese food that is guaranteed to make your stomach feel full and satisfied, then look no further. What are you waiting for? My visit to this amazing restaurant wasn’t just about eating Japanese food and having fun, it was a lifelong dream of mine that needed to be fulfilled. Now, it changed my perspective on opinions of cuisines from around the world. I would like to now officially declare Japanese cuisine as the best in the world, and I have my full thanks to Samurai Hibachi & Ramen for that. A wave of being a Japanese food obsessed otaku has now awoken inside of me. My love for Japanese culture only gets stronger and stronger. Thanks to Samurai Hibachi & Ramen, I’ve finally got to experience the delicious taste of Japanese cuisine. I am so utterly grateful for their excellent customer service, kindness, attention to detail, delicious food, and the gifts they gave me. I am so happy how they greeted the birthday boy with a VERY warm welcome. Furthermore, I was not expecting this at all… I am happy, grateful, and all I have to say is, you guys at Samurai Hibachi & Ramen ROCK! If you want a Japanese restaurant with delicious food, awesome otaku stuff like figures, statues, posters, j-pop, and great service, this restaurant is FOR YOU! My message to Samurai Hibachi & Ramen is, you guys are awesome! Thank you SO much to all of you! The textbook definition of a 10/10 restaurant!
